Who We Are

EPDIG was established in 2005 to support democratization efforts around the world.

EPDIG was created with a single purpose: to support grassroots initiatives that drive democratic progress and empower communities from the ground up.

We believe in a future where funding is not limited by connections, location, or bureaucracy — but awarded based on vision, impact, and purpose.

About EPDIG

Global Reach: Approved International Regions

While our roots are in domestic empowerment, we also support selected international regions with aligned development goals.

Eligible International Regions include:
• United Kingdom
• Canada
• Australia
• Caribbean nations (e.g., Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, Bahamas, St. Lucia, and others)

These areas share common goals of entrepreneurship, sustainable growth, and community transformation—core to EPDIG’s values.

What We Fund

—Equal Access. No Preference

While our support is available across borders, U.S.-based applicants are never deprioritized.
Each application is reviewed based on:
• Clarity of purpose
• Community or economic impact
• Readiness to execute
• Transparency and accountability

We seek to empower the best ideas regardless of where they’re born.

Why Both Domestic and Global?

Our vision is rooted in the belief that empowerment should not be limited by geography.
True progress is scalable and often, ideas piloted locally have global potential.

— Tips for a winning Application

Whether you’re applying for a grant or a small business loan, successful applications typically include:
• Clear, measurable goals  Define exactly what you plan to achieve and how you’ll measure success.
• A realistic action plan  Show how you’ll carry out your project or business steps, including timelines and milestones.
• Strong community or business ties  Highlight local partners, customers, or supporters involved in your effort.
• A sustainability plan  Explain how you’ll keep things running after the funding or loan period ends.
• Proven impact or potential – For grants: community benefit, inclusion, or social good. For loans: revenue growth or job creation.
• Financial clarity; Include clear, reasonable budgets (for grants) or repayment strategies (for loans).

Tip: Whether you’re creating social change or growing a business, your application should be honest, structured, and purpose driven. Show us the “why” behind your idea, and the “how” that makes it achievable.
